For sale is a very decent sized rutile crystal from Namibia. Featuring a  compound, doubly-terminated crystal of rutile with no matrix. The heavily striated wine-red to  prisms have brilliant lustre. To quote Rob Lavinsky,  “Rutile was a relatively common accessory, but specimens are rare and are seldom available. Onganja is renowned for world-class cuprites from the famed 1973 find”

For sale is a very decent sized rutile crystal from Namibia. Featuring a  compound, doubly-terminated crystal of rutile with no matrix. The heavily striated wine-red to  prisms have brilliant lustre. Onganja is renowned for world-class cuprites from the famed 1973 find” This mine has been closed for nearly fifty years now. Ex Vic Cloete collection, Vic obtained this, probably from Sid Peters, on one of his many trips to Namibia in the 1970 and 80s. Please remember our prices are in Australian dollars.
