For sale is a ruby on spinel specimen from Vietnam. I purchased this specimen in Vietnam, first of all because of its attractive color. and good shape, but also because the association of ruby on spinel, is very rare, virtually never seen. I acquired this piece on my recent (April 2034) visit to the mines of Vietnam. It is the first time I have ever experienced this combo. The ruby has nice fluorescence.
