For sale is a calcian rhodchrosite from Australia. The label this came with says Rhodochrosite – calcian. The bright orange fluorescence says to me, maybe a manganese calcite, rather than rhodochrosite. Thou the bright orange fluorescence is unusual, mostly its pink. It would be interesting to do an XRD test on this obviously old piece. Great size and great presentation. Matrix is a garnet quartz mix, but all mineralisation sits on clear gemmy cleaved calcite crystal. Historic old specimen!
