A fine specimen of multiple ruby crystals spread over a great contrasting white matrix, from Luc Yen, Vietnam. On our recent trip to Vietnam, old specimen such as this where impossible to obtain, the few we viewed were priced in the thousands. I obtained this quite a few years ago on another trip to Vietnam, and have it put away since then. The ruby crystals are all undamaged, and fluoresce as one would expect a vivid red. Some people may call this pink sapphire. bit I would say the “wicked” fluorescence says it ruby. Interestingly the crystal at the bottom right is a tabular crystal, unlike the rest of the crystals that a hexagonal. This is just an outstanding piece, the likes of which rarely appear. Please remember our prices are in Australian dollars.
