For sale is a quartz pseudomorph calcite (?) from Purleywaugh, NSW. Please note this location is not recorded on Mindat, or is there any pics of these specimens. I can assure you the location is correct, and over the years I have seen a few of these similar specimen. The description of these has always been given as quartz pseudomorphing calcite, thou I have never been completely convinced that his is a fully accurate description, even thou the matrix is massive calcite.

The description of these has always been given as quartz pseudomorphing calcite, thou I have never been completely convinced that his is a fully accurate description, even thou the matrix is massive calcite. These are uncommon, and not often seen for sale, and it is unusual to see one on matrix! We acquired this from Ken Mitchell who dug it in 2015.
