For sale is an interesting and unusual quartz on chrysoprase, from Qld. First I have to observe that it is quite uncommon for collectors to have raw chrysoprase specimen in their collection, invariably the piece are polished examples of chrysoprase. This piece has many features, first is the large size, then there is the quartz association as a secondary mineral on the chrysoprase (not common) . The specimen features an area of small drusy clear quartz over the chrysoprase, giving a nice sparkly effect, this again is the first time I have seen this

For sale is an interesting and unusual quartz on chrysoprase, from Qld. First I have to observe that it is quite uncommon for collectors to have raw chrysoprase specimen in their collection, invariably the piece are polished examples of chrysoprase. This piece has many features, first is the large size, then there is the quartz association as a secondary mineral on the chrysoprase (not common) . The specimen features an area of small drusy clear quartz over the chrysoprase, giving a nice sparkly effect, this again is the first time I have seen this on an Australian specimen. Finally there is the area of botryoidal chrysoprase, as seen in the pics, this is not common, thou Im not sure if this is actually botryoidal, chrysoprase or actually botryoidal clear quartz over chrysoprase.
