For sale is a fine interesting pyromorphite with wulfenite on malachite from Browns Prospect, Rum Jungle, N.T. You would have to describe this specimen as being very busy. There is a small amount of matrix, but basically this is made up of solid malachite. There is a smattering of pyromorphite crystals scattered about the surface of the botryoidal malachite, which itself, ranges in color from lush green on one side to almost black on the other. Some areas in the center of the specimen have the botryoidal malachite completely covered by pyromorphite. There is a large partial cast of pyromorphite over a cerussite crystals, the inside of the cast shows some gemmy cerussite, and some newer primary malachite crystals. Further to the right of this is a vug containing a great compete pyromorphite cast after branching cerussite, (not really well seen in the pics). Also in this vug are a few razor sharp wulfenite crystals! Further to the right of this is a partial pyromorphite cast of larger cerussite crystal, also containing micro pyromorphite of yellow, white and green color, as well gemmy primary malachite crystals and finally a few more wulfenite crystals. These were found very early in the 2010 dig, there were only a couple found and they sat immediately above the spectacular find that was to come later. I must add that this was the only time wulfenite crystals were found in the 2010 – 2012 excavation. RARE!! Dug by and from the collection of Paul Melville, Darwin.
