For sale is a single kyanite crystal on black biotite mica from Harts Range, N.T. Kyanite is an aluminum silicate mineral that crystallizes in the forms of elongated bladed structures. Ocean Kyanite is a vibrant teal form of kyanite, the rarest member of that family, know for it’s distinctive saturated blue color. Please compare our prices to other material available. An interesting fact regards kyanite, is that is probably the only mineral that has two different hardness’s, seven hardness in the long direction and four hardness in the short (horizontal) direction. This material fluoresces a fine deep red under VU. light.
