For sale is a supberb specimen of olive green to honey brown sphalerite crystals sitting on a quartz matrix, with associated rhodochrosite and some pyrite, from Septemvri mine, Madan, Bulgaria. Featuring gemmy and lustrous, olive green sphalerite crystals in clusters and as discrete crystals are scattered nicely on the contrasting white matrix on this wonderful specimen.There is a small amount of pinking brown rhodochrosite on the front of the specimen

For sale is a supberb specimen of olive green to honey brown sphalerite crystals sitting on a quartz matrix, with associated rhodochrosite and some pyrite, from Septemvri mine, Madan, Bulgaria. Featuring gemmy and lustrous, green transparent sphalerite crystals in clusters up to 20mm and as discrete crystals are scattered nicely on the contrasting white matrix on this wonderful specimen.There is a small amount of pinking brown rhodochrosite on the front of the specimen, but most of the rhodochrite is on the rear as can be seen in the pics, along with some minor galena and pyrite. This choice piece is particularly visual! This specimen was purchased from the Warren Summerville collection in Bathurst in 1995. Warren purchased the specimen at the main show in Tuscon in 1992.
