or sale is a group of garnet crystals from Mt Garnet , Nth Qld. Deep olive green grossular crystals on massive garnet matrix. Regards the actual variety of garnet there has been some debate on this point, going on for many years, so my position is to just call the crystals green garnet! This is a fine size specimen of little know Australian garnet, from a location that no longer produces material. The crystals have sharp form and good luster. The small crystals are quite gemmy. Sorry but this specimen was very hard to picture, its actually way way nicer in person
