For sale is a germanite from Tsumeb. Germanite is a rare copper, iron and germaniun sulphosalt, the Tsumeb mine is the type location for this mineral. The piece is composed of germanite with some inter growth of tennantite and bornite This specimen has a long history, originally from the William S Vaux collection, which was donated to The Academy of Natural Sciences Philadelphia (ANSP). In Sept 2007 John Veevaert, (Trinity Minerals) , this was among a couple of dozen specimen John obtained from Kristalle (Wayne and Donna Leitch), prior to the first release of the Vaux collection in the Denver show 2007.
