An extremely sharp and lustrous, 4 mm, cobaltite cube jauntily set on pyrrhotite matrix from a classic Swedish locality, Hakansboda.T his is an old mine, opened in the 17th century and worked until 1873, with only minor mining during World War I. The bright shiny crystal of cobaltite could be considered a rare mineral specimen. This piece is possible more than one hundred years old. We obtained this in a mineral swap with a Swedish collector a few years ago.
