A very showy, three-dimensional and aesthetic specimen from the well-known Mt Gunson mine, Sth Aust.. The specimen is made up of each end having botryoidal aggregates of sparkly, emerald-green, bladed crystals with the center being more robust and larger crystals of a slightly lighter green color, comprise this excellent piece of solid atacamite. Last pic show the rear of the piece. This uncommon, great size piece is even better in person, where you can really appreciate the scintillating nature of the atacamite crystals. This is one of the most attractive specimens I have seen from this location. From the collection of Frank and Trudy Godney (Sydney)
