For sale is a rare anhydrite specimen from Mount Elliot, Qld. Featuring a saturated lavender colored cleavage of crystaline anhydrite. This was XRD confirmed for me by Prof. John Hanchar of Newfoundland University, he had an additional comment that this is anhydrite is particularly pure. From my experience these specimen are the finest anhydrite ever recovered in Australia. The saturated lavender color is not a common color for this mineral.
