For sale is a pair of almlandine garnet crystals from Austria. Two historic old specimen from a famous location, the garnets exhibits classic dodecahedral form along with a deep red color. Excellent piece with no “traditional” polishing done on the faces as is so often the case with this old material. The second crystal is more flatish and has distortions from the matrix, it sat on. This is not seen in the first crystal (right side).

Excellent piece with no “traditional” polishing done on the faces as is so often the case with this old material. The second crystal is more flatish and has distortions from the matrix, it sat on.
