For sale is a twinned diopside crystal from Mt Elliot, Qld. This dark green crystal has mico chalcopyrites scattered over the surface. but more interestingly is twinned nature of the crystal, (indicated by the V shape on the top of crystal). What can be seen on the front of the crystal appearing to be white parallel lines, are mineral I have been unable to identify, the center’s are very dark to black with the ends being fibrous pale yellow, the parallel nature of the growth is uncommon, I would love to know what this unidentified mineral is , under the microscope its intriguing. While not having great luster, it is way above average for this location! Ex Doug Ball collection.
