For sale is a very fine witherite with harmotone and galena, from Rosebery Mine, Tas. This find of 4 years ago, is undoubtedly the finest find of witherite, anywhere in the world this century. For a mineral that is quite uncommon to be anything but a white to dull grey color, these yellow crystals are outstanding/. There are quite abundant small flashy galena crystals scatter over the specimen, with some concentrations towards the front of the piece. The harmotone which are the grey/white crystals are also quite abundant, harmotone is rare in Australia. Hundreds of sharp, translucent witherite crystal cover the specimen. This is a great witherite specimen, the last one we have from the finds, the size and large presentation area, are impressive. These are by a long shot the finest witherite crystals ever found in Australia.
