For sale is a unique (for Australia) specimen of bright green uvarovite garnet with chromian clinochlore (Kammererite) from a century old location Paling Yard, Barraba, NSW. This location was described by George Smith (Specimen Smith) in his Mineralogy of NSW 1927 (?) This is probably the the finest uvarovite display location ever found in Australia. The classic association of purple kammererite is a nice bonus. Plus orbicular chromite is rare in its own right! This is an outstanding example of all three minerals, for Australia, too be found on one specimen is special. One of the finest I have seen, excellent display size. Please remember our prices are in Australian dollars.
