For sale is a fine, fine titanite (sphene) group from Warsak, Pakistan.  First I have to say the actually color of this piece, is actually more of a honey yellow than brown yellow indicated, there is also a hint of green, showing the  dichroic nature of this mineral. All crystals show twinning, quite common in titanite (spheen). This specimen features a cluster of three crystals, with a couple of minor ones, with the classic wedge form. The crystals have good luster, these honey colored titanites came out about twelve years ago,

For sale is a fine, fine titanite (sphene) group from Warsak, Pakistan.  First I have to say the actually color of this piece, is actually more of a honey yellow than brown yellow indicated, there is also a hint of green, showing the  dichroic nature of this mineral. All crystals show twinning, quite common in titanite (spheen). This specimen features a cluster of three crystals, with a couple of minor ones, with the classic wedge form. The crystals have good luster, these honey colored titanites came out about twelve years ago, and were from a very limited find. Today rarely if ever seen, in the market. As can be seen in the pics there are large gemmy areas in the crystals, this specimen is in excellent condition. Ex Bernie Whyte collection. This specimen is way way better in the hand.
