For sale is a top stalactite chalcedony on basalt from Ballina, NSW. These are fascinating specimens, it appears the chalcedony either covers or replaces a previously existing stalactite mineral, thou interestingly some of the abundant stalactites look to be pure chalcedony with no replacement. All this is clearly seen in the pics. In my opinion these fine pieces are the finest examples of stalactitic chalcedony found in Australia. These specimen were never abundant, and this gem was the best of the Robinsons collection. Collected by and from the collection of the late Norman and Jocine Robinson. Rare style, from a now long closed location. Absolutely beautiful specimen! Please remember our prices are in Australian dollars.
