This sand dollar echinoid comes from the Bairnsdale district of Vic, the echinoid is complete and well formed, actually its better than that it has exquisite form, free of matrix and displays great from front and rear. The latin name for the species is Clypeaster gipplandicus, and they come from the Miocene period at the least 3.5 million years ago.
