For sale is a well-formed crystal of lustrous and transparent lush cranberry rubellite tourmaline with associated lepidolite, from Paprok mine, Afghanistan. The crystal is complete and uncontacted all the way around, and can be displayed from many angles. With excellent luster, and not easily seen but the accompanying lepidolite has a nice lavender tinge. This single crystal has very fine razor sharp, multiple terminations, very unusual for tourmaline! I find this piece, particularly the color, very reminiscent of the specimen from the famous Malkhan deposit in Russia, but this one is more transparent than most from that field. This specimen is way finer in person than the pic indicate. I should note that this specimen is gemmy enough to be facet quality. Please remember our prices are in Australian dollars.
