For sale is a single rhodochrosite crystal, with associated quartz, from Peru. While not the finest crystal in the world this specimen is gemmy to translucent, and has excellent form. The color is a very nice esthetic saturated pink, a very desirable color. A classic rhodochrosite rhomb from the famous late 1970s-early 1980s finds at the Huayllapon Mine, Peru. This striking rhomb has the typically gemmy, sweet, saturated pink, and is accented with quartz crystals, embedded in and on the rhomb. No more have been found, since ! We obtained this piece from an American collector in a swap, about 15 years ago. Please compare our price, today it is near impossible to obtain a gemmy rhodochrosite crystal, at the rate we offer!
