For sale is a supberb quartz, from Erongo Mountains, Namibia. These skeletal quartz specimens are sometimes called “Fenster” (German word for window), due to the fact that the pyramidal and prism faces have a skeletal form that gives them the appearance of a window. The cream colored “mud” inclusions are t clay that was frozen inside of the quartz as it was crystallizing. This is a fully terminated crystal, sitting on a small amount of small quartz crystals matrix. This is one of the finest examples of this quartz I have seen, from anywhere. Ex Vic Cloete collection, he obtained this from a miner on one of his many trips to Namibia. Top specimen, with a hint of smoky phantoms.
