A proustite on native arsenic from Jachymov, Czech Republic, this is a classic location. Not only do we have a rare native element, arsenic, that crystalises, but it has a fine display of ruby red proustite as well! Arsenic is not a common native element, and most collectors, don’t realize it crystalises on its own. A very fine addition to a native element collection. Note the proustite has been protected and shows very little silver metallic oxidation. Most of the proustite is botryoidal, but there are a few individual crystals scattered about, to 2 -3mm. I presume the small white material associated is arsenolite . This is very rare material! Our prices are in rapidly depreciating Australian dollars.
