PREHNITE CALCITE PLUS UNKNOWN – PROSPECT PARK NEW JERSEY

Product Description

For sale is an interesting specimen of prehnite with calcite from Prospect Park, USA .  Some of the prehnite,(most) forms as  molds  of naturally dissolved anhydrite. The roughly flat surfaces are contacts with former tabular anhydrites, all later covered by prehnite. An attractive piece with and intriguing unknow mineral sitting in one of the molds, as seen in the pic. What the long thin mineral is I do not know, possible hedenbergite or actinolite. There is a good deal more of this unidentified mineral, right to the back of the void,  and on the base of the specimen,that can not be seen in the pics. There is also blackish blue metallic mineral on the base, with some small crystals visible. These mineral definitely deserves some analytical work!  Please remember our prices are in Australian dollars.
