For sale is a pale green quartz from Victoria River Downs, N.T. First, green quartz of any color is uncommon! This I have the feeling (I can not prove it) is a specimen that has sat on the surface of the ground for a long time, this in some rare cases, (Corona station, NSW, it happens rarely) the original amethyst changes color to green. I must note this is uncommon, and only happens with a very small amount of amethys, usually what happens when there is a long exposure to sunlight, the color fades completely, to clear or milky quartz. Ex Mick Pugsley collection, Scotts Head, NSW. There is a small amount of hematite associated.
