For sale is a multi colored quartz from Cardinia Creek, Vic.This classic old locality, is now under water since 1972, as it sits in the Melbourne water catchment area. Little seen today a specimens from this locality, but in its day, Cardinia creek, produced sapphire, zircon, large quartz crystal, multi colored quartz crystals and gold. Stunningly complex specimen , with masses of fully terminated quartz, ranging in color from pale amethyst to citrine to chocolate, to clear quartz. The rear of the specimen show that it formed on the top of some rather large quartz crystals, its hard to say exactly how large they were, but they were big! Unique.
