For sale is an exquisite mimitite with wulfenite from San Franscico mine, Mexico. The San Francisco Mine has long been noted for its beautiful assemblages of wulfenite with mimetite, but the occurrence of red mimetite, as seen on one area of this 360 degree specimen is uncommon. The botryoidal mimetes range in color from bright yellow to red. Both the minerals have the best luster, and the specimen flashes and shines as it is moved. Featuring crust of bright orange/red crystalized mimetite with yellow botryoidal mimetite, interspersed with abundant thin tabular wulfenites. The wulfenite features some gem crystals, with others being translucent bright yellow. Ex Paul Melville collection, Paul purchased it in Tuscon from Linus Keataing at the Clarion Hotel, in 2005. Please remember our prices are in Australian dollars.
