For sale is a specimen of marioteris fern fossil from a new find at Barraba Coal Mine, Barraba, NSW. This fossil mariopteris has an uncommon replacement mineral, being siderite. The identification of the species and the replacement agent was done by the mine geologist. They flourished particularly during the Carboniferous and Permian periods. These are the first specimen that have ever come from this new locality, and they are only two months out of the ground. Pics show front and rear of the specimen.
