For sale is what I will call “brain” malachite from Rum Jungle, N.T. When viewed from one angle the specimen has a definite brain appearance, of botryoidal satiny dark green malachite, with couple of lighter areas, the area between the lobes of the brain, contains some pyromorphite. But it the bottom of the “brain” that is the truly outstanding thing about this piece. Vivid chatoyancy, from dark to flashy bright light green, covers the whole of this area, with minor pyromorphite.
