For sale is a large specimen of virtually solid malachite from Burra Burra mine, Burra, S.Aust, one of Australia’s most famous localities for copper minerals! The specimen weights a very decent 450gms, and Im sure it could be cut and polished if desired. This is an impressive, large and hefty specimen malachite in thick banded layers, with some vugs of crystallized material showing on the top. At a guess I would say this piece came from the latter stages of mining at this historic old location. Ex Ed Richards, collection.
