For sale is a malachite specimen from Burra.These are classic 19th century malachite recovered at the Burra Burra Mine. During the early years (1850-65). Featuring a superb botryoidal crystal group of mint green malachite exhibiting excellent natural lustre and patina. Today these are considered quite rare, particularly in this size, and are judged to be the finest examples of malachite found in Australia. This specimen was obtained by a swap with the South Australian Museum, by John Rankin. Ex Paul Melville collection.
