$44.00

For sale is a very rich specimen of kamphaugite and decrespignyite, from Paratoo mine, Sth Aust. Vivid turquoise-blue decrespignyite-(Y) with translucent spheres of kamphaugite-(Y) scattered throughout. This small obscure old copper mine is now well-known for a highly unusual assemblage of secondary REE and Cu-REE carbonate minerals. It is the Type Locality and only locality in the world for decrespignyite-(Y). I think it is pretty cool, to have two yittrium minerals so abundant on the same specimen.

The rear of the specimen is more abundant in Kamphaugite (Y). There are a couple of other minerals associated, mainly varieties of green color, which I am not sure what they are.
