For sale is an excellent and exceptional rich specimen of lustrous, radiating, acicular inesite sprays on nicely contrasting matrix from Broken Hill. Inesite is an uncommon calcium manganese silicate. Thou the label does not state it I think the golden brown inesite crystals in the first pic, radiate up into a group of transparent light brown apophyllite crystals. Nice. There is also an amount of ” sturtite” associated. The galena is shot thou with small brown bustamite grains and crystals, and actually there is probably more bustamite than galena present. As the pics show this specimen has quite a few display options. Much better in real live than the pics indicate! This specimen was mined in the mid 1960s from NBHC mine, and is ex Jason McCarthur, (Broken Hill).
