For sale is a hubernite crystal (no lab I.D.) from an old and never seen Queensland location, Muldiva mine Chillagoe, Qld. This is a very old mine worked at the beginning of last century, its not even listed on Mindat. The piece was self collected by the late Andy Toole, so I have no doubt as to the accuracy of the location, Andy was a top Queensland field collector, and a long time member of Qld MinSoc. Decent hubernite crystals from Australia, are uncommon. Usually only seen from the Torrington area of NSW, and Wolfram Camp in Qld. This specimen has an unusual brown green color, the olive green aspect is not clearly illustrated by the pics, hard to capture accurately. A surprisingly good example of Australian hubernite from a remote and rare location. The piece has quite good luster as can be seen by the pics. Please remember our prices are in Australian dollars. Comes with Andy’s collection number on the specimen, and on the accompanying display stand.
