This is a quite uncommon specimen of green anglesite, on cerussite from Broken Hill, NSW. The well defined crystals of green anglesite sits nearly completely covering a crystal of cerussite. If the green tint is, indeed, from copper, then this would be extremely rare cuprian anglesite. Either way, the unusual color and unusual form make this an exceptional anglesite , with the great presentation, with the anglesite crystals so prominent, quite a gem. The cerussite crystal is visible at the bottom left side of the anglesite. Please note this is a different and much rarer form of green anglesite crystals, that come from another area of the Broken Hill lode. Green anglesite is as far as I know only ever been found at two locations world wide, here and in Italy. Ex A. Toole collection, Brisbane. Please remember our prices are in Australian dollars. While the label says Pinnacles Mines, it was probably collected from the dumps there, and I would say the specimen probably originated from Block 14.
