For sale is a mineral not often seen in collections,(I don’t know why) graphite, the graphite sits on quarytz, and the specimen comes from the Eyre Penninsular, S.Aust. . Lustrous aggregates of platy metallic graphite with typical greasy feel are richly scattered on both the front and back of the this uncommon for Australia specimen. The coverage plus the fact that the graphite crystals are on matrix, make this a very good specimen for the species. These specimens are uncommon, we obtained this piece from an old collection in Deepwater, NSW. Excellent sized and impressive display. Please remember our prices are in Australian dollars. This is probably the nicest Australian graphite specimen I have ever come across!!
