For sale is a very busy specimen of franckieite with fluorite, magnesite and sphalerite. To my knowledge this location Mt Bischoff mine, Waratah, Tas, is the only location in the world where franckieite has been found in association with fluorite!! As you can see from the pics there are extensive areas of franckieite on the piece. Franckieite is a quite rare lead tin antimony sulfide. Ex Mathew Latham collection. Please remember our prices are in Australian dollars. This material is facinating on a crystal structure level and this article from Nature Communications , ‘Franckeite as a naturally occurring van der Walls heterostructure” is a interesting reading.
