For sale is a specimen of fluorophlogopite from Maynes mine, Trial Harbour, Tas.  Fluorophlogopite isThis mine has produced Australia’s only collector quality pieces of this uncommon mineral. The original identification of this species from this mine was done by Ralph Bottrill, and we obtained this specimen from Matthew Latham. The piece has a waxy lustre with a bright silver  color. This is a mica group mineral with an unusually high fluorine content (up to 11.15 mas.%) .
