This is a great display of oliver yellow dufrenite crystals very liberally spread over the top of a hematite matrix, from Iron Monarch, Quarry, Iron Knob, S.Aust. The crystals form branching aggregates, and rosettes, and in some areas single crystals. Dufrenite is a rare hydrated calcium iron phosphate. This specimen comes mounted in it own perky box.
