For sale is a water clear drusy quartz over golden chalcedony, with minor calcite, from Sunset Mine, Mary Kathleen Dist, Qld. In my experience yellow (golden ) chalcedony is very very uncommon, just try and think of how many times your self have seen it. The golden chalcedony is covered by a coating of water clear drusy quartz, the quartz has flashes and shines coming from everywhere, giving the specimen a very special appearance. This material was collected by Con Constantanidies from one boulder only, at Sunset Mine in approx 2005. No study has ever been undertaken to figure out the cause of the unusual yellow color in the golden chalcedony.
