For sale is a complex single crystal (possibly a group) from the historic Moonta mines in Sth Aust. This floater specimen is in pristine condition, great actually when one considers the age of this old timer. The specimen came labeled as being from 1913. Decent specimens of cuprite from this classic local, are just not available today, and are rarely even seen in collections. Not too surprising as this group of copper mines ceased working in 1923. Ex South Australian Museum, ex Paul Melville. Please NOTE this specimen is in PRISTINE condition, what appears to be abrasions are an effect created by the camera. This specimen is way nicer in person.
