A coprolite is fossilized “poo”. Coprolites are classified as trace fossils as opposed to body fossils, as they give evidence for the animal’s behavior rather than morphology. This is the last coprolite we have from this classic Australian location. While we know the animal was Australian, it is extremely difficult to determine what ancient creature originally pooped the coprolite specimen, but as there are no apperent inclusions in these, such as pieces of broken bone, etc. We can safely assume these coprolites , came from a plant eating animal.
