For sale is a pretty slice of conglomerate from Ashburton, W.Aust. This specimen was obtained from Cameron Griffiths, who cut and lacquered the slice. I have to say that this is one of the most impressive pieces of polished conglomerate I have come across. The rounded red pebbles appear to be banded jasper with possible ironstone banding. The slice is cut thru with two quartz shoots, as can be seen in the pics. There are also some small brown agates associated, with some having a internal “hallo” effect.
