This is a small but rather unusual colored quartz group from a recent dig at Torrington, NSW. The hightly lusterous piece has some crystals with reddish brown tops, on what otherwise is “candle” like quartz.

This is a small but rather unusual colored quartz group from a recent dig at Torrington, NSW. The hightly lusterous piece has some crystals with reddish brown tops, on what otherwise is “candle” like quartz. I have seen a lot of Torrington material but this is the first time I have seen quartz with this color combo from this location. The find was only small and the specimen were all quite small, this one was the pic of the pocket.
