An old specimen from the early 1990s, featuring sparkling red microcrystalline chalcotrichite v.Cuprite masss of fine crystals from Sandy Flat Pipe, Redbank Mines. The chalcotrichite appears quite closely associated, even on it in one spot, with the glossy black pyrobitumen, veins cutting thru the specimen. Under the microscope this is a fascinating piece, possibly with more minerals lurking. A very good sized display piece, with an abundance of quite bright red scattered over the whole face of the specimen. Ex Dehne McLaughlin, collection.
