For sale is a calcite pseudomorphing aragonite from Renison Bell mine, Zeehan, Tas. Featuring a spray of acicular crystals, these interesting specimen came from a one off find in the mid 1990s.Only a small number of these were found, and there is still discussion if the replaced mineral was aragonite, gypsum has also been suggested. The rear of the specimen show some small calcite crystals, as well as some small pieces of rock, have been coated by calcite. A very different distinct Tasmanian specimen. I did not think I had any of this find left, until I found this piece in my stock recently. This is the only one found. Please remember our prices are in Australian dollars.
