For sale is a specimen of bustamite crystals from Broken Hill. I have to say Im not really sure what the bustamite crystals sit on, it could be extremely stressed galena, but the color is not right, so its most likely sphalerite, this is uncommon. In reality the main bustamite crystal, which is really quite transparent is more of a deep flesh pink in color, than the reddish tint the pics convey. Broken Hill lode has produced the finest bustamite crystals available from anywhere, and the color of this piece is the most desirable of all the shades exhibited there.

The black matrix makes the crystals really stand out. Bustamite is my favorite Broken Hill mineral, and I can say it rarely comes in this great color. While not large this is an impressive specimen.
