A fine brochantie from a rare location, Mt Norma mine, Cloncurry, Qld. This mine is so obscure its not even listed on Mindat. Brockantite is a secondary copper hydroxy sulphate. A mass of green crystals, thickly covering the whole display face of the specimen. This uncommon specimen come ex Jim Sharpe collection (X.R.D. confirmed). There are some mining leases at Mt Norma at the moment, but this specimen came from the prior , low level mining activity, years ago.
